Infrastructure Inventories and Assessments
Our surveying experts use LiDAR scanners to collect millions of highly accurate data points to assemble 2D or 3D scans. The final outputs from the terrestrial lidar scanning can be used to create survey-grade 2D and 3D models to inform inventory and assessment of infrastructure facilities, such as power plants, substations, and wastewater treatment facilities. Our process is based on survey industry standards and complies with all local and national mapping accuracy standards.
Interior and Exterior Lidar Scanning for Industrial Facilities
Traditional surveying methods to accurately map the interior and exterior details of commercial, residential, or industrial facilities can be time-consuming and costly. What used to take weeks or months to produce using traditional survey methods can now be surveyed in a matter of days or hours by employing lidar scanners.
Using 3D Lidar to Create Revit CAD Models
For infrastructure engineering projects, we utilize 3D lidar scans to create detailed and accurate Revit models that can be integrated with industry-standard design platforms. The use of 3D models greatly reduces the traditional field surveying time, reduces project costs, and enables teams to measure site and infrastructure features safely without putting personnel at risk. We helped Honolulu International Airport complete scanning of its reef runway safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively.
